Youth Project
What is Youth Project?
Launched in 1989, this Saturday program has provided kids from two to 18 a place to experience drum and dance in a supportive, encouraging, and directed way. Through drumming and dancing, our Youth Project students learn essential life skills: self-motivation, confidence, teamwork, discipline and so much more. Youth Project works, too! More than 90 percent of participants move up to the next grade in school or on to graduation
The kids at Youth Project know what is expected of them -- and they reach their goals. Participants achieve a high sense of self-esteem by meeting the challenges inherent in drum and dance. The polyrhythmic music and complex movements give them a chance to stretch and grow, going beyond what many initially think they are capable of.
Ninety-eight percent of our participating students rely on scholarships to attend. They come to Bush Mango every week and they truly thrive.
Space is limited, so please call 585-235-3960 first for a pre-admission screening.
